  • Q. What if I am taking prescribed medication from my Doctor?

Because Homeopathic remedies are so dilute they are also non-toxic* & therefore cannot interact chemically with your other medication. It is often not feasible & may even be dangerous to stop your prescribed medication so Sue never recommends you to do this without discussing it with your doctor. Sue is not medically trained & it is not her role to advise on changes of medication, but she is happy to treat you Homeopathically alongside of your existing treatment & she encourages you to inform your doctor about this.

Depending on the type of complaint, Homeopathy can often be very effective alongside of conventional treatment, & where a patient wishes to reduce or stop their other medication, Sue will support them in whatever way is possible throughout this process. Sue is not idealistic about this issue – you have to find the solution that works the best for you, & you are not expected to never use conventional medicine just because you are seeing a Homeopath!

Many of Sue's patients are on long term medication that they feel it necessary to continue, but still experience great benefits from Homeopathy, while others choose to avoid all prescribed medication & turn to natural methods for all of their health needs – “different strokes for different folks”.

(* please note - only the very lowest potencies have any chemically active ingredients & even these are very very subtle. The vast majority of remedies are based on substances which are not toxic, but those that are based on toxic substances are rarely used in these very low potencies – a fully trained practitioner will always take great care not to prescribe anything which could interact with your medication. This is one reason why self prescribing is not appropriate if you have complex health problems).
